The socially conscious hip-hop artist just bought The Chicagoist, a lifestyle magazine once owned by The Gothamist and part of a collective of other city-centric online magazines like the LAist that was shut down by its owner over employee attempts at unionization.
Chance made his announcement in succinct fashion in a song-lyric dis.
It will be interesting to see what he brings to the table.

I just got word of the latest release from Oscar Jerome, a U.K.-based artist giving me all the jazzy-soul feels. He’s new to me, but so far I’m liking his new single ‘Do You Really’. If you like Jamiroquoi and Maxwell, you might like him.Another new discovery for me: Nakhane Toure. Nakhane is a South-African electro-soul singer. His voice is not incredible, but soothing. Pain and self-discovery drip out of his mellow, haunting tunes. At least what I’ve heard so far. Both of these new (to me) finds are worthy of my weekend.
